In tropical and temperate conditions Aquatabs have a five year shelf-life in strip packs and a three year shelf-life in tubs. All tablet products should be protected from exposure to temperature extremes or high humidity.
Aquatabs Granules have a shelf life of 2 years.
Aquatabs Flo cartridge: 3-year shelf life.
Aquatabs InLIne cartridge: 2-year shelf life.
Aquatabs tablets contain NaDCC, a stable ingredient which delivers an accurate dose of chlorine to create safe water and also a reserve to keep water safe.
NaDCC is a common abbreviation of sodium dichloroisocyanurate. Na is the chemical symbol for Sodium. NaDCC can also be called Troclosene sodium.
When added to water, Aquatabs effervesce and dissolve quickly to release chlorine to kill pathogens over a 30-minute time period. Aquatabs will continue to protect from pathogens for at least 24 hours by releasing more chlorine when required.
